About Us
The White Lion Hotel now gracefully combines ‘olde worlde’ charms with a contemporary look and feel. We offer 15 comfortable, unique hotel rooms including four poster beds and family rooms. Guests can also make use of the function and conference facilities as well as the restaurant, serving quality fresh food sourced from the best suppliers. The pub remains the heart and soul of the White Lion Hotel and food is our speciality. The exceptional environment, combined with a fantastic menu, excellent fresh food offer and superb drinks selection means you won’t be disappointed. Diners and drinkers alike can also enjoy one of our many real ales or wines selected from around the world. The town of Tenterden itself has been described as ‘the Jewel of the Weald’, with wide tree lined streets, Tudor buildings and a host of specialist shops. Out and about there are picture postcard villages to explore and an abundance of historical landmarks, including the renowned gardens of Sissinghurst Castle and also Leeds Castle, set in five hundred acres of parkland. Hotel accommodation room rates start at £93.95 including our fantastic breakfast. Please note that from May - September and bank holidays, Saturday is a minimum of two night's stay (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday) Corporate rates are also available, please contact us for details.
Function Rooms
The White Lion offers a function room holding a maximum of 50 guests for a buffet. Our private function room is ideal for boardroom-style business meetings of up to twenty five people, theatre-style seating for up to fifty, formal sit-down meals for up to thrty six and standing receptions for up to one hundred people. It also has its own private bar, high definition projector and screen, sound system and mood lighting. We also have a more intimate boardroom table facility available at The White Lion, in the form of a private room for up to 6 people.
